Ferrari has always been known as a brand of luxury, innovation, and quality in motor mechanics since its founding in 1939. They have won numerous Formula One seasons and are still running strong. This season they have teamed up with Ray-Ban to give us the Scuderia Ferrari sunglass collection. The series includes remakes of classic Ray-Ban frames with Ferrari's signature shield and the colours and themes associated with their supercars.
Ray-Ban was originally founded by Bausch and Lomb, an American eye health production company, and designed sunglasses for the US Army Air Corps to reduce the intensity of blue and white hues visible in the sky. The company was then bought out by the Italian eyewear giant Luxottica in 1999. It has been the staple of eyewear fashion since its production and has been featured in many films ranging from Top gun, Men in black and many more.

When first arriving in an opticians it can be confusing as to the roles of each member of staff. It can be especially confusing when multiple names exist for a single role. Optical assistants, Optical consultants and Optical advisors all occupy the same role. These individuals will mostly assume roles such as administrative duties by booking appointments and assisting Dispensing Opticians and Optometrists.

In today’s post we will be looking at a limited-edition piece from the Persol Calligrapher collection; the Persol PO3165S Calligrapher edition. The Calligrapher edition frames have metal sides that are reminiscent of the nimbus of a calligrapher’s pen and blends beautifully with the signature arrow present on the front. The detail and craftsmanship shine through while still maintaining a simple yet bold design.
